Sharing a Story

The Stories & Memories section is a place to preserve meaningful moments, family history, and personal experiences. Sharing a story is simple and helps keep our family’s memories alive for future generations.

How to Share a Story

  1. Go to the Stories & Memories page.
  2. Click the Share a Story button.
  3. Fill out the story form:
    • Title — Give your story a short, descriptive title.
    • Your Story — Write your memory, experience, or reflection. You can format your text using bold, italics, lists, and more.
    • Photo (optional) — Upload a photo to accompany your story.
    • Tags (optional) — Add keywords to help others find related stories.
    • Make Public — Choose whether your story is visible to everyone or only to logged‑in family members.
  4. Click Save Story to publish it.

Adding a Photo

You can attach a photo to make your story more personal. Photos are stored in the family’s story gallery and displayed at the top of your story page.

If you choose not to upload a photo, your story will still be published normally.

Public vs. Private Stories

  • Public Stories — Visible to everyone, including visitors who are not logged in.
  • Private Stories — Only visible to logged‑in family members.

You can change this setting later by editing your story.

Editing or Updating Your Story

After saving your story, you can return at any time to make changes. Simply open the story and click Edit to update the text, photo, or privacy settings.

Tips for Writing a Great Story

  • Write in your own voice — authenticity matters more than perfection.
  • Include details that help others visualize the moment.
  • Add names, places, and dates when you remember them.
  • Attach a photo if you have one — it adds context and personality.
