Admin Dashboard Overview
The Admin Dashboard is the central hub for managing all administrative features of the site. Only users with the Admin role can access this area. From here, you can review requests, manage users, approve stories, and maintain the overall health of the site.
Accessing the Admin Dashboard
Admins can access the dashboard by clicking the Admin Dashboard link that appears in the main navigation when logged in with admin privileges.
If you do not see the Admin Dashboard link, your account does not have admin permissions.
Dashboard Sections
The dashboard contains several tiles that link to different administrative tools. These may include:
- Manage Users — View, approve, deny, or lock user accounts.
- Manage Stories — Review submitted stories, verify them, and control public visibility.
- Manage Requests — Handle account requests or other user‑submitted items.
- Manage Events — Review and maintain family calendar events.
- Site Settings — Adjust configuration options (if enabled).
Admin‑Only Features
Only admins can perform certain actions across the site, including:
- Approving or denying new user accounts
- Verifying or un‑verifying stories
- Editing or deleting calendar events
- Managing user roles and permissions
- Accessing administrative reports or logs
Using the Dashboard
Each tile on the dashboard leads to a dedicated admin page. These pages provide tools for reviewing, editing, and managing content or users. The dashboard serves as a quick‑access starting point for all administrative tasks.
