Photo Gallery Overview
The Photo Gallery is a place to share and preserve family memories. Albums help organize photos by event, person, or theme, making it easy for everyone to browse and enjoy the collection.
What You Can Do in the Photo Gallery
- Browse all photo albums
- Open an album to view its photos
- Create new albums (if you have permission)
- Add photos to existing albums
- Read captions and view full‑size images
- Admins can edit or delete albums and photos
Browsing Albums
The main gallery page displays all albums in a clean, visual layout. Each album card includes:
- Album Name
- Cover Photo (first photo in the album)
- Photo Count
- Description (if provided)
Click any album to open it and view its photos.
Creating a New Album
If you have permission, you will see a Create Album button at the top of the gallery. To create an album:
- Click Create Album.
- Enter an album name.
- Optional: Add a description.
- Click Create Album to save it.
After creating an album, you can immediately upload photos or return later to add more.
Opening an Album
Click any album to open the Gallery Detail page. There you can:
- Browse all photos in the album
- Click photos to view them larger
- Read captions
- Use arrows or swipe to navigate between photos
Adding Photos
Inside an album, click the Add Photos button to upload new images. You can add multiple photos at once and include captions for each one.
Admin‑Only Actions
Admins have additional tools for managing the gallery:
- Edit or delete albums
- Edit or delete individual photos
- Reorder photos inside an album
Tips for Organizing the Gallery
- Create albums for major events or trips.
- Use clear album names so they’re easy to find later.
- Add captions to preserve context and family history.
- Group related photos together for a clean browsing experience.
