Deleting an Event
Events can be removed from the Family Calendar when they are no longer needed. Only users with Admin permissions can delete events. This helps protect the calendar from accidental or unauthorized changes.
How to Delete an Event
- Open the Family Calendar.
- Click the event you want to delete.
- In the event pop‑up, click the Delete button.
- A confirmation window will appear. Click Confirm Delete to permanently remove the event.
Deleting an event is permanent. Once removed, the event will no longer appear on the calendar for any year.
Who Can Delete Events
Only admins can delete events. Regular users can view events but cannot remove them. This ensures the calendar remains accurate and prevents accidental deletions.
What Happens After Deletion
When an event is deleted:
- It is removed immediately from the current calendar view.
- It will not appear in future or past years.
- Recurring events are removed entirely, not just for a single year.
Deleting Recurring Events
If the event is recurring (such as a yearly family reunion or a custom recurrence), deleting it removes the entire recurrence pattern. The event will no longer appear in any year.
Tips for Admins
- Double‑check the event details before deleting.
- Use the delete confirmation window to prevent mistakes.
- If an event needs changes instead of removal, use the Edit option instead.
